est stultus.

i was going to go to bed, nice and early. but now im extremely upset. and i really mean extremely. not like angry, but just offended and somewhat hurt. and no, i can't call my mom because she is asleep. but i would.
sometimes i am appalled by damn idiocy.

in the meantime, while i calm it down, halloween weekend was dandy. friday night was fun, and it provided for a rough saturday morning, but that was only intensified on saturday morning when i shut my alreayd pounding head in the car door. then i went and spent the day with small children who kept hitting me.
i stood in line for communion this morning at church behind the boy formerly known as boxed-wine boy, basically the reason behind my splitting headache the morning before. people should not dress as functional entities.
("chillable red" please notice the spout, appears below.)

i must go to bed. i have no costume for step tomorrow. nor do i have my reading done for discussion. nor am i ready for crits.
THIS IS ME YELLING.

the things i do for him. unbelievable.

white sox!
bitches.

i went to bar night tonight with candace, as a means of going out into the world, post the win. I'm glad we did, i've never seen so many people at a midterms week bar night. lots of stupid slutty first years yelling about the white sox, but it was okay, because, well, it wasn't actually okay, and i asked several people to fight. But it happens. Moral of the story? I have never left bar night sober before until tonight, and it feels super weird. But it was a delightful night. I tried pumpkin seeds, roasted, for the first time and they were delightful. we are going to the moscow ballet nutcracker. we are excited. i passed my competency exam, and perhaps also my profeciency exam in italian, but i thought it was my competancy, and I'm glad, cause i was nervous enough as it was.

summer is finally over... i could have used a few more nights of baseball... i suppose it'll be back before we know it. "It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." and so it goes...

here's to halloween! and gaining an hour!

one of those days

by 10:30 am i had already had breakdown number one of the day...

...it was just one of those days.

however, i worked through it all, you know, solved world hunger, etc. and had a somewhat decent afternoon. tutoring foster is so frustrating! why won't he just ask if doesnt understand? and why does he say he does when he doesn't? It's frustrating in a good challenging way, but still, being a teacher will be tough. clearly.

now i cant get hilary duff out of my head. and the game is still on. and while i love baseball, i must say, i do also enjoy sleep. but hopefully its ending soon. although that will mean the white sox win, and while i clearly i hope that to be the ultimate outcome, i also would kind of like them to win their 4th game in chicago in game 6. selfish, i know.

oh crazy.

mbsmb.

i heart people i heart.

i'm sad to have left chicago, but damn was it time to get out for a day or two, itd been so long since i had come home that i could even smell my house smell, you know what i mean? yeah, it was weird. I got to see Lindsey, and it was great. Especially some of our revelations about our greatness. as friends and people both. We went on a haunted hayride and others (we went with a somewhat large portion of the girls tennis team and siblings) went to a haunted house as well, which was delightfully autumny. I'm going to the cidermill/orchard in the morning with miei genitori. and then a day of the farmhouse.

bilbos is relocating. there goes some memories.

don't you wish you could read people's minds? the funny thing is that usually i can for this one.

i shoudl be sleeping. I love espresso. In many ways. Shapes. Forms. mmmmm. yummy.
take that non-espresso loving bitches. that would be me about 1.5 weeks ago. fyi.

good night.

tangled up in you

sometimes people steal people. there. that's as close as it gets.

I am going home this weekend. and I am excited indeed. I am going to do michigany autumn things like go to Verhages and get cider and donuts, and the maybe to the pumpkin man for a pumpkin or two to carve next week. Rufus Wainwright is coming to perform on campus next Friday thanks to MAB, which is delightful. Amy wasn't there today so we had a sub and she was off her rocker. my brother sometimes says "I'm out bitches!" instead of goodnight. I bought this really neat wedding planning book from the first half of the 20th century that was very good at wasting time tonight with miss wang. along with the facebook, yummy food cooked by my brother, and just being generally ridiculous. mock is going well I really enjoy being a witness, well I just don't find it as taxing on my mind, but I'm not really sure I'm finding being an attorney as taxing either but then again we shall see that half on Sunday when we scrimmage that side. it's appalling that I am still awake and I did very little tonight. I had a field trip saturday all around chicago and it was great especially talking with prop conjoin about packingtown and seeing it and talking about The Jungle and what not because I have never really interacted with my professors much. But then I got sick and was quite all saturday afternoon through monday morning. Foster my ESL tutor kid is a great 6th grader and he tells me that I'm not allowed to hold the door for him or let him go through the door first and he is a highly challenging little pupil but what is life without a challenge? I know I sure must like since I seem to set myself up for them... things that come easy just have to be complicated by me, you know... or maybe fate does that.

I'm so frustrated with life right now! or maybe more appropiately just some aspects. or people. or ideas.

I should blog more, cause random stream of consciousness is delightful to me.

mock trial.

so we had our first meeting today. post-the 14-2 white sox win over boston. it was a nice meeting. I am optmistic, still. I like our team make-up, and don't see any problems. except with the case itself, but i have no say in that. well i don't really have a say in the team itself either, but much moreso than the case. anyway, that is all. did i mention the 14-2 win? cause it was really just hysterically awful. i clapped and laughed a lot while watching it. that is all.

i would say my general/overall mood for the day would be happy.

ps, i am listening to christmas music, in case you haven't heard.

also

In a random thought to read my october 3rd entry from a year ago, I discovered I spent much of thrid quarter on some sort of mind altering drug. Well, actually, I didn't, but the entry is about as totally random as if i had.

i heart you.

A whole week of classes already done. Every week of classes is another week past the halfway mark, another week closer to graduation, the end to these four years, and so much else. That said, the week was delightful. I truly love all of my classes. My Latin class rocks (i really heart my instructor), and although it should be expected that after taking two romance languages extensively it is quite easy and delightful for me, I am still quite proud of this fact. Modeling the figure is a whole new world, I have never done anything with the human body 2 or 3-d, and so this is quite exciting. I'm still getting use to the whole staring at a nude model 4 hours a week, i just feel like we objectify and depersonify her too much, but it's basically as normal as eating pie now. Step aerobics is delightful, especially watching the atrocious 4th year attempts at accomplishing the steps... there is a reason a lot of UChicago people don't dance and go out at night... they have no rhythm, beat, coordination, etc. Highly apparent and evident in the step aerobics class Candace and I are taking for kicks. My Roots of the Modern American City with Michael Conzen hasnt gone too far yet, but so far is great, I really like prof conzen if nothing else. Intro to IR with prof Lipson is as to be expected, his classes are pretty much the same...

The weekend was uneventful, but not overly so. I did go out Saturday, to a house party where I truly felt the fruits of being a third year. My to save my liver this year was not exactly carried out, but I certainly observed moderation. Afterwards I went over to Dudley and hung out in 1227, and then made a run downtown with paul and friends and that was interesting, as I had never been to the part of Chicago we went to. I ran into carter and melissa as well, and had an unexpectedly long, yet in fact delightful, conversation about Teach for America with Carter. I have a info session on that this week as well which I need to remember to attend.

Mock is already up and running, and I'm looking forward to it, I suppose. I have no complaints as of yet about anything, which is more than i have ever been able to say for myself concerning the organization prior to this point, so this is a good sign. I have a high degree of faith in it this year, in so far as being some place/organization I enjoy being in and taking part in, so hopefully that only strengthens, because it would be joyful if my outlook stayed this positive on it, as i feel one really should only participate in extracurrics that they like and enjoy. Or perhaps its not good faith i am having but rather it's just purely apathy, but I really dont think so. I think I am genuinely happy and optimistic about it. fabulous i say, just ducky.

STARS is the new org. of choice, tutorising ESL kids over at Ray Elementary School. I am excited about this as well. It will help me fulfill my constantly lacking APO service hours. Benissimo.

I hate the Student Care Center, by the way. Just one last thought.
